Behind the Barcode

Since the Rana Plaza disaster there has been an increasing interest to find out where our clothes come from. Behind the Barcode is a comprehensive reflective report which looks at what is currently happening during the production process of products. (Work, no date) The document examines 41 companies, 128 brands and looks at what they are currently doing surrounding topics such as exploitation, child and forced labour, as well as what can be done to protect the people working in the supply chain. (Report, 2015)

The document is split into 6 chapters beginning with methodology, then Child labour, forced labour and worker exploitation, policies, traceability and transparency, monitoring and training and finally workers rights. In each section the companies are graded from F to A+ showing which brands are the best and the worst in the specific area. (Behind the Barcode, 2015)
